Business Manager/Director Position Available
Seeking a person to assume responsibility of what currently is being operated as a nonprofit dance studio. This person will expect a high level of artistic and technical skills from students and staff. He/she must have vision, be motivated and must have experience teaching dance, being in performances and possess business skills. Currently, the studio offers classes at all levels, stages performances, and organizes workshops. The Studio was established in 2006 and has great potential for growth. Dancers are trained to the highest of artistic and technical standards. Emphasis is on classical ballet. Present classes offered include ballet, modern, hip-hop, music and movement, tap, ballroom and Pilates. The Studio currently is managed by a supportive non-profit Board who coordinates volunteers, provides regular fund-raising events, and interfaces with the community through public relations. Stage Door Dance Studio is located in the vibrant community of Ellensburg, Washington. Our town is situated in the picturesque Kittitas Valley in the center of Washington State and is approximately 110 miles east of Seattle. The region is a popular area for a variety of outdoor activities (skiing, fishing, hiking, biking, snowmobiling), while the historic town of Ellensburg offers an array of cultural activities including professional, community and university theaters; art galleries; a very popular annual jazz festival; its famous Ellensburg rodeo; and more.
